From 1st June 2008 12:00 noon to 8th June 2008 24:00 (end of the day), mobile subscribers can send a blank SMS or supportive message to the designated number “508508” to donate HK$25 to “512 Artistes Fund Raising Campaign” to help the Sichuan earthquake victims. Donations will be deducted from your next monthly bill or from your pre-paid card balance.

14 May 2008 - Quake Aid Donations Accepted from Today

The Home Affairs Department has established a mechanism to channel donations from Hong Kong citizens to Mainland earthquake victims.

From 14 May 2008 (Wed) afternoon, 20 Public Enquiries Services Centres of the 18 District Offices, and Post Offices, will start collecting donations during office hours.

People are encouraged to donate by cheque made out to "The Secretary for Home Affairs Incorporated - Donations". A receipt will be issued.

Cash donations can be paid to HSBC account number 502-256803-001.

All donations will be passed to the Red Cross, World Vision, Oxfam, the United Nations Children's Fund and the Salvation Army for emergency relief in Sichuan.
